You likely will not need this option. CMOS batteries are only necessary if your saved BIOS/UEFI configuration keeps resetting when your system is unplugged. Since all new systems come with a new CMOS battery, you will likely not need one of these. However, if you have another desktop that is older and in need of a new motherboard battery, you can request one here.
